Learn how to beat stress and procrastination

Start 2013 off right by learning practical strategies for creating a calmer, more balanced life. DelVal counseling psychology faculty member Dr. Audrey Ervin is offering two community workshops this month, which are open to the public.

Overcoming Procrastination: Practical Strategies for Change
When: Tuesday, Jan. 22, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Where: Doylestown Health and Wellness Center
Fee: $15.00

This applied workshop addresses the belief systems underlying procrastination including perfectionism, fear of failure, and fear of being overwhelmed. Recognizing that resistance to change often includes rationalization, impulsive behaviors, self-sabotage and escapism, participants will be provided with 10 practical strategies to overcome unhelpful procrastination behaviors. The Superwoman Phenomenon: Women and Stress

Are you a woman who feels stressed and overwhelmed? Join psychologist Dr. Audrey Ervin for a workshop about gender role socialization and the unrealistic expectations women frequently internalize about balancing family, career and other life responsibilities (all with a smile)! Participants will develop an action plan for better life balance and leave with strategies for increased self-care.
