DelVal students win awards

Delaware Valley University students took home awards for showing animals at the Pennsylvania Farm Show. Dairy Superintendent Darrin Mayer and Interim Assistant Dairy Superintendent Ethan Arsenault advised the students and organized the trip to Farm Show.

"I'm so proud of our students," said Dr. Christopher Tipping, DelVal's interim dean of agriculture and environmental sciences. “I received so many compliments from visitors on how professional, courteous, and knowledgeable they were. They are excellent ambassadors for DelVal. The commitment was inspiring. They put in long hours at the Farm Show each year and even stay with the exhibit overnight to take care of the animals."

Ashley Goodhile '17, an animal science major,  won two awards including: First Place Holstein 2-Year-Old Class and Second Place Summer Yearling, Milking Shorthorn.

Ben Radel '17, a criminal justice major, won Third Place for a Brown Swiss Fall Calf.
