Bucks County Cooks

Bucks County is a food lover's paradise. With acres of lush farmland and a vibrant restaurant community, the county has attracted some of most creative and skilled chefs on the East Coast. Now, DelVal’s Office of Continuing Education is teaming up with ICON Magazine to offer “Bucks County Cooks,” a special series of five, three-hour cooking classes taught by some of the region's most creative and acclaimed chefs.

Classes will be hosted by veteran food writer, Susan Gordon (Bucks County Magazine, ICON magazine), and held monthly beginning in January at The Market at DelVal, 2100 Lower State Rd, in Doylestown. Participants will learn to prepare and then get to enjoy a full three-course menu at each class. The chefs will offer tips on food selection, preparation and presentation and provide recipes to take home. For students who are over 21, the events will be BYOB.

According to Linda Lefevre, director of continuing education at Delaware Valley College, the series is another on the College's growing list of short-term classes designed to enrich a participant's skill set and inspire lifelong learning.

"We are very excited about welcoming this wonderful group of chefs to our campus and offering people the chance to expand their culinary skills and knowledge during a fun and relaxing evening out," said Lefevre.
