Future DelVal Student to Sing at College Signing Day

Daisy Carr, an incoming Delaware Valley University student, will be singing the national anthem with students from The Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush at College Signing Day in Philadelphia today, Wednesday, May 2.  Former first lady Michelle Obama is the keynote speaker for the Philadelphia event, which will be held at Temple University. College Signing Day is a national event to for high school students to share their future plans.

Maria Cabrera, DelVal’s coordinator of multicultural recruitment, will also attend the event to meet with high school students. Cabrera will be posting throughout the day on the University’s Instagram account

Celebrities scheduled to attend the event to celebrate the high school students include Bradley Cooper, Kelly Rowland, Questlove, Robert De Niro, Nick Cannon, and Philadelphia Eagles players.



"I'm beyond excited that I get to sing our national anthem at the College Signing Day here in my hometown of Philadelphia,” said Carr. “Being able to represent DelVal is amazing and I'm glad that I get to experience this and perform my passion!"
