The Delaware Valley University M.A. in Counseling Psychology received a new accreditation. The University’s M.A. in Counseling Psychology is accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC) for the period of April 2019 through April 2029.

MPCAC accredits academic programs that provide science-based education and training in the practice of counseling and psychological services at the master’s level, using both counseling and psychological principles and theories as they apply to specific populations and settings. The independent organization emphasizes a commitment to science-based education in the interest of providing services that promote the public good.

“We are very proud that MPCAC granted the DelVal graduate counseling psychology program 10-year accreditation,” Academic Director of Graduate Counseling Psychology Dr. Audrey Ervin. “MPCAC accreditation means that our alumni, current, and future students graduate from a program that meets rigorous national standards. It is an indication that the program offers exceptional training that effectively prepares graduates to be counselors competently serving the public.”
