Delaware Valley University Football Team Delivers Valentine’s Day Flowers

For the past three years, the Delaware Valley University football team has been delivering flowers around campus on Valentine’s Day. The tradition started after Duke Greco ’03 became the head coach.

“Duke works to teach appreciation and respect,” said Tiffany Lopes, a public safety officer who receives flowers every year from the student-athletes.

In addition to public safety, the team thanks the Office of the President, staff in athletics and the bursar’s office by delivering orchids and roses.

“We started because our guys wanted to show appreciation to everyone who helps them get through the day to day and this was a small way we could say, ‘thank you,’” said Greco.
