Kathryn M. Payne, a veteran higher-education admission and financial aid professional, will join Delaware Valley University as vice president for enrollment management (VPEM), effective April 8.

Payne comes to DelVal from La Salle University, where she has spent the last 25 years in a series of positions of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as assistant vice president of enrollment services. Her background also includes information management and student loan management.

“Kathy brings to DelVal significant strength with data analytics to inform planning, a notable balance of big-picture thinking and robust implementation skills, and a great deal of energy,” said DelVal President Dr. Maria Gallo. “I am confident that her leadership will be of great benefit to the University as we expand our efforts to appeal to prospective students.”

As VPEM, Payne will oversee undergraduate admission and financial aid at DelVal.

“I am thrilled to join the DelVal community,” said Payne. “It became clear to me early in the search process that DelVal is a truly unique institution. My subsequent interactions with faculty and staff have only reaffirmed that belief.

“Leading the skilled enrollment management team in the effort to attract, enroll and retain talented students is something that I’m very excited and passionate about. As I shared with Dr. Gallo, I see a University and community with a big heart, self-awareness and the drive and grit to succeed long into the future. I can’t wait to be part of it.”
