Now that the temperatures are dropping and the winter season is approaching, there are plenty of activities around Doylestown and Delaware Valley University for you to enjoy all winter long. Call your friends, grab your coat and hit the town for some community fun.
Check out some of the events going on in Doylestown and the surrounding areas this winter.
Shady Brook Farms
As one of the last working farms in historic Bucks County, Shady Brook Farms has many exciting events throughout the year, and the winter season is no exception.
One of the greatest attractions at Peddler’s Village during the holiday season is the gingerbread house display constructed of locally made architectural masterpieces. Do some shopping and enjoy a meal at one of the delicious restaurants or enjoy refreshments such as hot dogs, soft pretzels and hot cocoa.
Peddler’s Village is open year-round, so if you don’t make it this winter, there will be plenty of other opportunities.
10th Annual Bucks County Treefest
Through January 5, head to the Bucks County Visitor Center, 3207 Street Road in Bensalem, to enjoy the beauty of 25 uniquely themed trees. You can also enjoy plenty of live entertainment for a fun day out with friends or family and even visit with Santa.
After getting a good look at all of the festive Christmas trees, cast your vote for the one you like the most and see which one wins! This event is sponsored by Bucks County and is free to attend.
Instead of hiding under blankets as the weather outside turns frightful, check out one of these great events before the season ends. Click here for more news about the community and events at DelVal.
