On Dec. 5, we announced that the Pennsylvania Department of Education has approved DelVal’s application to become a university. On April 8, 2015, a vision that has been in the works for years will become a reality. We will have the opportunity to share DelVal’s story in the coming months.

So far, the announcement has been shared by media outlets such as KYW, The Intelligencer,, and The Philadelphia Business Journal.

We will continue to have the opportunity to create a greater awareness and understanding of this institution in April when we hold a news conference on campus. On April 8, we will share our new logo and officially switch to Delaware Valley University.

Between now and then, let’s keep the sense of pride in our DelVal community going. It is our time, and our DelVal. Creating greater pride and awareness in our communities starts one voice at a time. Share your DelVal story and tell people about us.

From now through April, we will be using the hashtag #OurDelVal. Please consider sharing the news about DelVal’s upcoming change to Delaware Valley University on your profiles on social networks with this hashtag. You can include one of the stories on the announcement or, something personal about how you feel about this new chapter in DelVal’s history.

I’m looking forward to celebrating with all of you in April. Thank you for all you do every day to make this community the special place that it is. We are thankful for everyone who has helped us get to this point.
