Delaware Valley University provides students a top-notch private education at an economical price, maximizing financial aid, grants, loans and campus employment. DelVal is dedicated to making the cost of higher education as affordable as possible for students and invests more than $20 million each year in scholarship and grant programs.
Scholarships can drastically reduce the cost of college, so it’s crucial for students to explore their options and apply for as many scholarships as possible.
DelVal offers numerous scholarships, challenging high school students and future college students to apply. Some scholarships require applicants to meet certain criteria to apply. This means that some of DelVal’s scholarships are open to everyone preparing to attend college, while others are specific to areas such as graduating class, area of study and GPA.
DelVal’s scholarships are based on a wide range of categories, from academics, GPA and ACT/SAT scores to certain clubs, programs, and organizations. There’s a good chance that at least one of the College’s scholarships fits your interests and skills. You just need to put the effort into finding the appropriate opportunities and doing a little bit of work to apply for them.
The College’s Merit Scholarship is awarded to the students based on their academic achievements. Freshmen and transfer students are eligible for Presidential, Faculty or Board of Trustees scholarships based on their SAT/ACT scores and GPAs. The College also recognizes certain outside scholarships from businesses and other organizations and encourages students to apply for them as well.
For students interested in pursuing a particular major, the Area of Study scholarship is another option. Good grades can help students secure this scholarship, but even if you don’t have good grades, you can still qualify for thousands of dollars in free financial assistance if you don’t get the full scholarship.
It’s easy to apply for a scholarship at DelVal, but it’s important to learn as much information as you can about the offered scholarships. You’ll want to research them thoroughly so you can choose the ones that are right for you. Each scholarship has detailed instructions regarding the requirements you must meet to apply. You also may have to write an essay on various topics or display financial need, depending on the specific scholarship. Then you must submit your materials to the appropriate address in order to be considered. Fortunately, DelVal makes the scholarship application process easy because all of our scholarships are listed on the website.
