The vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty serves as DelVal’s chief academic officer and provides administrative oversight for its four schools and various academic programs and support services.

DelVal offers rigorous curricula in the agricultural, life, physical and environmental sciences as well as the humanities, liberal arts and business. Our curricula are grounded in a commitment to applied and experiential learning.

Naturally, much of the activity in academic affairs is rooted in the interactions between our faculty and students. It is often said that an institution is only as good as its faculty. The DelVal faculty are extraordinarily committed to the nurturing and development of our students. Because of our 15:1 student-faculty ratio, there is no room for anonymity. It truly is an education on a first-name basis.

We, in academic affairs, are here to be partners in your education and are guided by DelVal’s core values:

  • Respect all people
  • Value the world of ideas and differences
  • Pursue excellence
  • Live each day with integrity
  • Teach, learn and serve with passion and commitment
  • Act as one learning community with one purpose

Whether you are a first-year or transfer student, pursuing your master’s degree or exploring our adult learning options, we look forward to the journey together. I urge you to schedule a visit to experience DelVal first-hand.
