DelVal’s MBA program welcomes students with diverse experiences and professional backgrounds. True to our commitment to student success and flexibility, we provide you with multiple options to achieve the competencies that serve as the foundation for graduate-level business coursework. While other MBA programs will require you to take multiple prerequisite courses either online or at an undergraduate institution before starting the program, DelVal offers a staggered approach that allows you to get started as soon as possible. We offer blended methods to match your abilities in specific topics with your budget and comfort level in learning either independently or in a classroom setting.

Choose from three MBA specializations:
MBA students may choose from one of three specializations including Supply Chain Management, Accounting and Food & Agribusiness. Specializations consist of three or four courses in addition to the core classes all MBA students complete. Students may alternatively use their elective credits to pursue their interests across specializations or take graduate courses such as Business Ethics, Leadership, and Contemporary Business Issues.
One of DelVal's unique offerings is a specialty in accounting, which meets the needs of the legislation passed in 2008 requiring the completion of 150 hours of post-secondary education to sit for the CPA exam. This is the only specialization that requires 31 credits for the MBA, rather than 30. Students on the accounting track will graduate with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and be fully prepared to take the CPA exam.

Since its founding as the National Farm School in 1896, DelVal has been a leader in both the food and agricultural industries. In this specialization, Students gain an in-depth understanding of domestic and international food and agribusiness systems, processes, and products.

In both the private and public sectors, the demand for supply chain experts is growing. This specialization prepares graduate students with contemporary decision-making skills and best practices to manage the supply chain process. Students will graduate with knowledge in transportation and distribution systems, core logistics functions and skills for building relationships with suppliers and customers.

A study of interpretation and the use of accounting data for management planning, decision making and control. Topics include product costing, cost allocation, budgeting, variance analysis and performance evaluation methods.
Prerequisites: None for students who enter the program having taken at least one undergraduate accounting course (with a grade of C or higher). Students who do not meet this criteria must complete GB 5020 or an equivalent competency course before starting GB 6010.
Format: Full term, on campus or online.
Examine the fundamental principles of corporate financial management and capital markets. Topics include asset pricing methods, risk management, equity financing, debt financing, dividend policy and the relationship of finance with other functions within the firm, including practical and theoretical methods of financial analysis as part of a system of management decision.
Prerequisites: None for students who enter the program having taken at least one undergraduate finance course (with a grade of C or higher). Students who do not meet this criteria must complete GB 5030 or an equivalent competency course before starting GB 6030.
Format: Full term, on campus or online.
A study of business-to-business buyer behavior, marketing segmentation and selection, product planning, pricing, distribution, promotion, buyer-seller interaction, negotiations, competitive bidding, and ethical issues. In addition, social media will be reviewed in the context of business enterprise sustainability.
Prerequisites: None for students who enter the program having taken at least one undergraduate marketing course (with a grade of C or higher). Students who do not meet this criteria must complete an equivalent competency course before starting GB 6040.
Format: Full term, on campus or online or accelerated online.
Management of individual and team behavior in complex work organizations. Studies in effective change management.
Prerequisites: None for students who enter the program having taken at least one undergraduate management or human resources course (with a grade of C or higher). Students who do not meet this criteria must complete an equivalent competency course before starting GB 9905.
Format: Full term, on campus or online.
A study of the theory and practices of the operations function and its application to productivity in the business functions. Focus is on the quantitative techniques for problem-solving and decision-making in a variety of strategic and tactical areas of operations management, including total quality management; process design and control, capacity planning, location strategy, materials requirement planning, inventory control, and project management.
Prerequisites: None for students who enter the program having taken at least one undergraduate operations or management course (with a grade of C or higher). Students who do not meet this criteria must complete an equivalent competency course before starting GB 6070.
Format: Full term, on campus or online or accelerated online.
This course explores the integration of the functional areas of business at the corporate level. Heavy emphasis is on environmental analysis, goal setting, assessing core competencies, choosing a strategic direction, and organizational implementation and control in the context of a respective business operation. Note: Students in the accounting specialization are not required to take this core course.
Prerequisites: All foundational core courses (GB 6010, GB 6030, GB 6040, GB 6070 and GB 6065). In addition, students who have not taken undergraduate courses in economics, statistics, business law, global business and business ethics (with a grade of C or higher) must complete an equivalent competency course before starting GB 6110.
Format: Full term, on campus, online or hybrid.
Critical analysis of case studies in strategic management with an emphasis on integrative decision-making. Focuses on strategy formulation, implementation and evaluation and control in today's organization.
Prerequisites: All foundational core courses (GB 6010, GB 6030, GB 6040, GB 6070 and GB 6065) as well as GB 6110. Accounting students not required to take GB 6110 who have not completed undergraduate courses in economics, statistics, business law, global business and business ethics (with a grade of C or higher) must complete an equivalent competency course before starting GB 7110.
Format: Full term, online only.
Each year the Delaware Valley University MBA program invites high performing students from any major within its undergraduate programs to apply for an accelerated MBA. Commonly known as the 4+1 Program, this track allows students to complete their undergraduate and graduate degree in as little as five years while saving over $7,500 in graduate tuition as three courses taken in your junior and/or senior years count towards both degrees.
