Dear Graduates,

Your big day is approaching! Congratulations on achieving an important milestone. We are sure that you, and your families, are rightfully proud of your accomplishments.

Prior to the “big event” on Saturday, May 18, there’s a mandatory graduation rehearsal scheduled for Friday, May 17 beginning promptly at 4:30 p.m. in the Life Sciences Building Auditorium. Please plan to arrive several minutes early and go directly to the auditorium. There will be a lot that will happen during this meeting and your attendance is extremely important.

At rehearsal, you will receive instructions on graduation itself – where to assemble, how to line up, and other practical guidance to ensure that the day goes smoothly. In addition, if you are expecting Latin Honor Cords, you will be able to pick them up right after rehearsal has ended. 

In advance of this day, you will be receiving important email messages that need your action:

  1. Name pronunciation request – If you receive an email with a request for thephonetic pronunciation of your name, please respond promptly. This request is to ensure your name will be read correctly during Commencement as you walk across the stage. Questions about name pronunciation requests can be sent to Missy Chubb – 215.489.4951, or Laura Rambo – 215.489.2401.
  2. CPSD is asking that you complete a First Destination Career Outcome Survey. Please complete The Outcomes Survey prior to commencement to indicate your post-graduation plans. You will have the opportunity to update this information throughout the year following your graduation. You can request access here:
  3. Latin Honor Cords – if you are entitled to receive Latin Honor Cords, an email will be sent to you indicating that you can pick them up after rehearsal
