Convocation serves as the official welcome to new students from the University. It is a celebration at which students and faculty gather to celebrate the official opening of the scholastic year. It encourages participants to consider their intellectual journey and it serves to familiarize incoming students with the University’s academic traditions as well as the institution’s history, symbols and mottos.

Convocation will be held on Monday, Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. in the Moumgis Auditorium.
