Floral Society
The Del Val Floral Society offers diverse educational activities, trips, workshops, speakers and social activities to members and the campus. Its core interest is the arts, especially the floral, design and decorative arts.
The DelVal Floral Society is responsible for producing the annual A-Day Flower Show, which has been a tradition for decades. Examples of club activities include trips to Fairmount Park, Lancaster County wholesale greenhouses and retailers, the Longwood Gardens Christmas Show, Hershey Gardens and Hershey Park, a cruise down the Delaware River on the Spirit of Philadelphia, participation in an authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony and much more.
The group has had workshops on wreath making, corsage construction and floral design and is involved with several fund-raising activities that provide floral and decorating services to the campus and surrounding communities. The Floral Society has sponsored speakers on Japanese Floral Design, Interiorscaping, Interior Design and a host of other interesting topics. Dr. John Martin is the advisor.
