Dr. Rohach began his employment with Delaware Valley College in 1992 as an Instructor and has taught on the undergraduate and graduate level at Penn State University, West Chester State University, Drexel University and Bucks County Community College.
Prior to a career in academics, Dr. Rohach has been employed in the banking industry, the software industry and is still affiliated with The Candlewic Corporation, a wholesale candlewax and supply company, where he serves as Chief Legal Counsel. Dr. Rohach has spent most of his life as a resident of the Central Bucks community, where he currently lives with his wife Diane and their two children. Dr. Rohach has also been active in the Central Bucks community and served as an assistant football coach at Central Bucks West from 1981 - 1991.
Dr. Rohach holds an M.B.A. in Finance from LaSalle University and a law degree from Widener University. In addition to achieving tenure status in the Business Department, he is also a practicing attorney and is active in the Bucks County Bar Association. Dr. Rohach also serves as the Assistant to Mr. Kennedy in administering the Graduate Business program and teaches Business Ethics, Leadership, Managerial Economics, Finance, Strategic Management and Commercial Law in the M.B.A. program. In addition to business courses, he also teaches Education Law in the Graduate Education Division and Criminal Procedure in the undergraduate Criminal Justice program.
Dr. Rohach's administrative duties include researching and creating new curriculum tracks and relevant courses for the M.B.A. program. To date, he has authored new M.B.A. tracks in Global Executive Leadership and Compensation and Benefits. Additionally, he has developed new M.B.A. course work in Commercial Law and Food and Agricultural Law. In the near future, Dr. Rohach will co-author a track in Entrepreneurship along with Mr. Kennedy.
Don DeLash
Don DeLash is currently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Carter Control Systems of Frederick, Maryland. Don has spent 22 years in the logistics and material handling industry, and also holds securities and insurance licenses as a financial advisor. Don earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from La Salle University. Don is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group.
Maria Evans
President of Martino Evans Communications, Maria Evans has developed and implemented marketing and public relations plans for more than 20 years. She specializes in PR for small business and business communications. www.martinoevans.com
Her expertise in pharmaceuticals began at Merck, where she led the international employee communications team, and developed and implemented multi-media communications to support major corporate initiatives, including its name change, major expansions and new products. She managed the publicity campaign for Merck's major philanthropic endeavor, the donation of a drug to prevent blindness, in Chad, Africa.
She later led public relations for the launch of Merck's blockbuster osteoporosis drug, Fosamax, and managed one of the nation's largest women's health coalitions with 108 organizations and 32.5 million Americans. Before that, she worked as a newspaper reporter, then developed and edited several trade publications in the printing industry.
She serves as president and is a life member of the Women's Business Forum of Bucks County (http://www.womensbusinessforum.org) and is a member of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, where she works on the Entrepreneurial Assistance Committee. She volunteers with Twilight Wish Foundation and serves on the Friends of the Library board in Doylestown.
Maria graduated with high distinction with degrees in political science (honors) and journalism from the Pennsylvania State University and received her MBA in marketing and international business from Drexel University.
Lance Hill
Lance Hill is an Adjunct Professor at Delaware Valley College. He has taught several subjects including Marketing Management, Strategy For Business Orgs, Strategy For Food/Agribusiness Orgs, Business Law, Advertising, Leadership, Corporate Governance, Business Ethics, and the Capstone.
I truly enjoy teaching! I devote my full-time energies to a new venture called Earth Savvy Products, LLC (ESP). At ESP, we sell Eco Bags (i.e. Reusable Grocery Bags... maybe you've seen them in your grocery store) to many national grocery retailers, non-profit organizations and business firms.
Prior to ESP, he was with Bumble Bee Foods for a decade as Regional Sales VP—National Accounts. He managed Bumble Bee's business at key accounts such as Target and Supervalu; He has been in the CPG industry for well over 20 years. He also practices law in his general practice firm located in his home town of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. As for his education, he earned a Bachelor of Science (Business Administration—Marketing) and a Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communications—Radio/TV) from the University of Delaware. His MBA is from Drexel where he had dual concentrations in Marketing and in International Business. He went to law school at Widener University and earned a J.D. before passing the bars in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has taught at DelVal in the Traditional On-Campus, Online, Hybrid and Independent Study formats.
James Horan
Mr. James Horan is a seasoned entrepreneur and the former Chief Operating and Financial Officer for Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center and its affiliated companies. He was a co-founder of LScan Technologies, Inc. As a seasoned financial executive, he was responsible for directing and executing a comprehensive range of accounting, financial and operating functions including investment analysis, raising private equity, cash management, tax planning and strategic planning. James has held previous positions with Deloitte & Touche, and Katz Capital (LA Weight Loss Centers). In addition to his auditing and financial compliance experience, James is also an Adjunct Professor in the LaSalle University and Delaware Valley College Graduate School Program, lecturing courses in Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Management, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, and Financial Statement Analysis. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of LaSalle University with a BS in Finance and an MBA in Finance. James is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association for Financial Professionals, the Association for Corporate Growth – Philadelphia Chapter, and also holds memberships in the American Accounting Association and the American Management Association.
John F. MacDonald
John started with Delaware Valley College in 2008 as an adjunct professor for the MBA Agribusiness program and has taught at the undergraduate level at The Edward R. Murphy Center for Continuing Education and Distance Learning at Elizabethtown College for the past several years.
In addition to his time facilitating college courses, John is employed in the grocery retail industry by Giant Food Stores, LLC where he leads the Project Management Office and directs the Continental Project Management of the Next Generation Oracle Implementation project for the Ahold US Retail Companies. In addition to this experience, John spent several years with Ahold Financial Services which is the centralized Financial processing unit for Ahold in the United States. John also spent several years in the health care industry working with Rite Aid, Highmark Blue Shield, Synertech Health Systems Solutions and Pennsylvania Physicians Care.
John holds a BS in Marketing from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania as well as an MBA from Lebanon Valley College. In addition, John holds a Black belt in Lean Six Sigma project management methodology and is currently working towards PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
John teaches Managerial Accounting and Decision Making in the in the MBA Agri-Business program and has instructed a Strategic Software Application course and the Program Capstone course in the program.
Eric Reed
For the past 16 years Eric Reed has been an adjunct instructor teaching business and computer courses at colleges in the Philadelphia area. He has a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, secondary course work in Computer Science, and is a member of the Financial Management Association. He works full-time in the health insurance industry (15 years) and previously worked in the computer industry for 10 years. His corporate experience has given him the opportunity to design and implement financial reporting systems, manage projects for Fortune 100 companies, and conduct employee training seminars. He has received exemplary action awards for merger related projects and excellence awards for innovation. He enjoys working with adult learners and helping them achieve their educational goals!
Stephen Richter
Stephen Richter has been a professor for over 25 years, teaching undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of computer science, mathematics, educational research (statistics), as well as MBA courses including MIS, PM, Operations Management and Entrepreneurship. He has also been a CTO for an international marketing organization and has been granted many US patents
Throughout his twenty-five year career in higher education and in senior executive positions, with the leaders in diverse industries, he has earned a track record of success in managing complex business industries, and achieving exceptional rather than expected results, business initiatives and results like:
- Development of a state-of-the-art Computer Facility from no computers to over 125+ IBM compatible computers, workstations, and Internet Access that serves over 500 students and 40 faculty.
- Voted Best College Professor 3 times for teaching methodologies of difficult subject matter.
- Published more than 10 books on Combinatorial Design Theory as applied to the Lottery (Lotto) Problem; and numerous Publications in Navigation Theory, Underwater Acoustics, and Efficient Markets Modeling.
Jo Sachdev
Since starting at DVC in 2009, Jo has taught over a dozen MBA courses both online and in traditional settings, including: Operations Management, Marketing Management, Capstone and Food Marketing. For each course she conducts extensive research in order to include the latest business concepts and tools. Furthermore, she draws upon her broad international business experience to maintain a practical edge to the curriculum.
Jo’s background is mostly in Food and Agribusiness, and she has worked for a large multinational corporation, a government agency, and universities/colleges in the U.S. and Canada. She has held a diverse set of positions, including: pork trader, demand and supply forecaster, and financial analyst. Within these positions she has been responsible for multi-million dollar accounts in pork sales and farm stabilization programs.
