Cory Kieschnick

Cory Herald Kieschnick joined the faculty at Delaware Valley College in 2001. Before joining coming to DelVal, Mrs. Kieschnick trained and managed at a top hunter jumper facility in East Tennessee. She also coached and rode at many recognized competitions in the southeast. After moving to the Delaware Valley, she also worked as a professional groom for a top hunter breeding facility.

Cory is an Instructor in the Equine Studies Department and has been the advisor and head coach to the DelVal hunt seat IHSA team since 2002. Her 2003-2004 hunt seat team finished 1st in the region for the first time since 1994, and Kieschnick was named Zone 3, Region 2 Coach of the Year in 2004, 2005 and 2006, 2009 and 2010. Her 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2010 teams earned Reserve High Point team in Zone 3 and qualified to represent the college at IHSA National Championships. Her 2010 team earned fifth place at IHSA Nationals.  She coached the winning team at the 2009 Holiday Tournament of Champions and had the Reserve Championship team at the 2010 Winter Tournament of Champions, earning Reserve Champions for the 2009-2010 Tournament series.

Cory enjoys using her knowledge of hunter seat equitation and dressage to encourage a more well-rounded, balanced rider.  She has been named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers and University Professors for several years and also earned the Delaware Valley College Distinguished Faculty Member Award in 2005.  Kieschnick offers lessons and clinics in Balanced Equitation and Mat Pilates lessons, including those geared especially for riders.
