The following days are college holidays. Please see below for the 2012 Holiday Schedule for Administrators and Staff:
New Year’s Day Monday, January 2
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Monday, January 16
President’s Day Monday, February 20
Good Friday Friday, April 6
Memorial Day Monday, May 28
Independence Day Wednesday, July 4
Labor Day Monday, September 3
Rosh Hashanah Monday, September 17
Yom Kippur Wednesday, September 26
Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday, November 22 & 23
Christmas Day Tuesday, December 25
The Winter Holiday break will be December 24, 26, 27, 28 and 31, 2012.
Tuesday, January 1, 2013 will be the New Year’s Day Holiday for 2013.
Holiday schedule for employees represented by Teamsters union #115 is governed by the terms of their collective bargaining agreement.
Regular part-time employees will be paid for a holiday if they are normally scheduled to work the day on which the holiday falls.
Essential services need to be maintained and may require scheduling of certain College staff on a given holiday. Non-exempt College staff required to work on a holiday will receive holiday pay at their current hourly rate plus pay for hours worked at one and one-half times their hourly pay rate.
