Oct. 13 -- Swine Flu Update at DelVal
We want to remind everyone to remain diligent about taking care of your self as the flu season approaches. Also be sure to communicate with the Student Health Center when you are not feeling well.
Just to keep everyone up to date, we have several students that have gone home or been sent home due to flu symptoms. No one on campus at this time, to our knowledge has been diagnosed with H1N1 swine flu. Flu symptoms are much the same. Since the flu is contagious we are sending students who have flu symptoms home for a week or until they are free of a temperature for 24 hours without medication.
We do have two isolation areas on campus for students if needed. So far we have not had to use them. We will keep everyone informed of any changes in this situation.
