Welcome to DelVal!
New Student Orientation at DelVal is your first opportunity to get acquainted with the college. It is also our first chance to welcome you in person, with all the warmth and enthusiasm a letter of acceptance simply cannot convey.
During Orientation, we will not only help prepare you for your first day of classes, but we will also help you to begin your journey toward graduation. You will meet fellow students, meet with a faculty member from your major and register for your classes. You will also have the chance to participate in workshops, learn about extracurricular activities and hear what students, faculty and staff have to say about your opportunities as a DelVal student and future alum. Attending New Student Orientation is your first step in ensuring success at DelVal.
Orientation occurs two times each year: summer for students entering in the fall semester, and winter for students entering in the spring semester. Orientation is highly recommended for transfer students. First-time freshmen are required to attend Orientation.
Freshmen and transfer students are required to register for one Orientation Program date in order to take the necessary diagnostic tests and receive academic advising for their first semester.
January 13, 2009 is new student orientation. For more information, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at 215-489-2215.
Delaware Valley College Orientation Mission Statement
Orientation at Delaware Valley College assists new students with their transition to campus by providing programs and services that outline the college's academic requirements as well as social and developmental opportunities. In addition, we provide parents with an understanding of college expectations and policies required of their student. Orientation is the initial step in understanding each student's unique path to obtaining a bachelor's degree and becoming a DelVal alumni.
