As a member of the Delaware Valley College staff, faculty or administration, you give your time and effort throughout the year to ensure that the college mission continues to benefit DelVal students. To continue in that tradition, we ask that members of the college community contribute to the DelVal fund, which aids college programs through unrestricted gifts.

Why should I support DelVal?

Giving is a personal decision; each person who gives to DelVal has his or her own reason for contributing. Many from our college community feel that, in addition to your daily contributions of energy and effort, a financial contribution is an important way to demonstrate your investment in DelVal and its students. All gifts help contribute to a sense of partnership and pride across our campus.

How much should I give?

The amount and frequency of a gift is a personal decision; only you can determine the size and designation of your contribution according to your own charitable interests, your personal willingness to give, and your financial capacity. DelVal students benefit from gifts of any size; it's your participation in the effort that matters.  Please note that a gift at the level of $1,000 or above qualifies you for membership in the prestigious 1896 Society including an invitation to their annual gala.

When does the fund year start and end?

Each fund year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. All gifts received before June 30, 2014 will be counted in the 2014 fund year; later gifts will be applied to the 2015 fund year.

Where can I give?

You have many choices to direct your gift on campus. Many donors choose to make an unrestricted gift to the DelVal Fund. Unrestricted gifts are not reserved for a specific purpose and, therefore, are directed to the area of greatest need. Unrestricted gifts also enable the college to take advantage of unexpected opportunities. Other donors may opt to restrict their gifts to a specific department or program.

Who will know about my gift?

Participation in the campaign is your choice. While the exact amount of your gift remains anonymous to others, your name and donor level will be listed in the Annual Report of Donors as a token of our appreciation. We respect the privacy of all of our donors; if you wish to keep your gift entirely anonymous, you can indicate so on the DelVal Fund Pledge Form. All donors receive a receipt for their donations.

How can I give?

There are many easy ways to make a gift to DelVal:

  • Payroll Deduction is one of the fastest, easiest, and most convenient ways to make a gift. A simple form indicates the amount that you would like automatically deducted from each paycheck, the start date, and where your support should be designated. Donors can opt to have an amount deducted until further notice or until a specific total has been reached.  Click here to download a PDF Payroll Deduction Form.
  • Checks can be made as a one-time gift, payable to Delaware Valley College
  • Credit Cards can be used for a one-time OR for recurring gifts; donors can designate the type of gift on their pledge form.
  • Appreciated securities and bonds
  • Bequests
  • Life insurance
