Eligibility
Bachelor Candidates
All bachelor's degree candidates must complete a 500 hour hands-on applied learning experience in a job(s) that is directly related to their major field of study, with the exception of the following Education Majors: Biology, Chemistry, English, General Science and Social Studies (as well as Continuing Ed students). For this mandatory experiential learning component, students receive four academic credits.
Associate Candidates
Culinary students are required to complete 250 hours for 2 credits.
Transfer Students (60 or more credits transferred)
250 hours for 2 credits
Dual Degree/ Majors
Students pursuing dual degrees or dual majorsmay complete all 500 hours in the major of their choice, or they may choose to split the hours between the two degrees/majors, subject to the approval of the department chairs of the two majors.
