Student to Represent DelVal at National Conference
Oct 07, 2008
Kelly Fetter of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, a criminal justice major at DelVal who also serves as a resident assistant, has been selected to participate in the Lisa Pierce Volunteer Incentive Program for Students at the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers (MACUHO) Annual Conference in Lancaster, PA, from October 15 through October 17.
The Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers provides opportunities for professional development and education, networking and interaction and access to research and current trend information to college and university housing and residence life officers.
Every year, the MACUHO Host Committee, Recruitment & Retention Committee and Executive Board invite undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in student affairs to be a part of the annual conference. In its sixth year, this program provides an opportunity for undergraduate student staff members to learn more about the field of Student Affairs by volunteering at the annual MACUHO conference and attending a special series of sessions.
"Kelly continues to show leadership in student affairs and we are expecting that her work and learning at the conference will further develop her skills and interest in the area of college student affairs," said Paul Kingsbury, assistant dean of students. "We are proud of her accomplishment and congratulate her on the honor."
