Let’s Talk About (Our) Sex: Masculinity Through the Lifespan
Nov 14, 2013
Dr. Matthew Mutchler, assistant professor of counseling psychology, will present, “Let’s Talk About (Our) Sex: Masculinity Through the Lifespan," on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 4:30 p.m. at Delaware Valley College in Mandell 114. The presentation is free and open to the public.
“The societal definition of masculinity has been deceptively and destructively simple for far too long,” said Dr. Mutchler. “We will discuss how this oversimplification affects men through various life stages, and how we can begin thinking about masculinity in a healthier way. In this talk, my goal is to help participants challenge the assumptions they make about men and masculinity and work toward building a more balanced and healthy approach to being a man or, being around men.”
The presentation is part of the biannual Multicultural Forum sponsored by The Liberal Arts Department and Students For Diversity.
