Delaware Valley College to hold animal rights forum

Nov 20, 2009

Have we learned any lessons after the Michael Vick scandal or are animal blood sports simply an intrinsic part of human societies?

Come and join the Liberal Arts Department and the Students for Diversity at Delaware Valley College to discuss legal and cultural perspectives on animal rights at our third biannual Multicultural  Forum  at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Room 114 in the Mandell Science Building.

The forum, entitled  Free Speech and Blood Sports - the state of the law on animal fighting, is open to the public. Speaking will be John Goodwin, Manager of Animal Fighting Issues at the Humane Society of the United States.

Moderators will be Shih-chieh Su and Tanya Casas of the Liberal Arts Program.
