Delaware Valley College contest celebrates student writers

Apr 02, 2014

At its Spring Student Writing Conference, Saturday, March 22, Delaware Valley College honored some of the area’s best young writers. The all-inclusive celebration showcases outstanding work in various forms and genres. High school students, community college students and DelVal students from a variety of majors submit work.

Winners from all levels received cash prizes and high school winners won Heritage Awards. The Heritage Award is an $8,000 scholarship to attend DelVal that is renewable for all four years (worth $32,000 over a four-year college career). In order to qualify for the Heritage Award students must enroll at DelVal as full-time, first-year undergraduate students and meet all regular admission requirements. Students only receive one institutional merit scholarship. Those who are eligible for other institutional merit awards will be granted the highest of the awards they are eligible for.
