In addition to its student concerts, Delaware Valley College provides interested musicians the opportunity to attend campus performances by national and international concert artists. In recent seasons, the Visiting Artist Series at Delaware Valley College has featured performances by prize winners of the world’s most prestigious competitions including the Van Cliburn Piano Competition, the Naumburg Competition, the Casals Cello Competition and the Grammy awards. Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in regular class trips to dress rehearsals by the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra and to take advantage of the spectacular range of concerts that occur in nearby Philadelphia and New York. From pop and rock to chamber music, opera, Broadway, jazz and world music, Delaware Valley College students have access to a vast array of live music and receive cultural enrichment credits through the Liberal Arts Department for attending performances.
