Michael Gargan has been an adjunct instructor at Delaware Valley University since 2017. He received his BS in Criminal Justice from Gwynedd Mercy University with a minor in Psychology and his MA in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University.

He has worked as a police officer for 32 years. During this time, he has worked as a patrolman, juvenile officer, detective, patrol sergeant, staff sergeant, and lieutenant. He has been in charge of hiring, scheduling, policy writing, accreditation, budgeting, payroll, internal affairs and social media. Mr. Gargan also graduated from the Northwestern School of Police and Staff Command.

At DelVal, Mr. Gargan has taught courses including American Police, Juvenile Delinquency, Juvenile Justice, and Criminology.
