Leadership programs provide students with a range of experiences to gain knowledge and skills that benefit their future. DelVal provides students with opportunities to enhance their leadership skills through training, education, and developmental programs. Students who partake in leadership programs will be engaged leaders enacting positive social change in their communities. Leadership programs expose students to leadership concepts and theories, while providing opportunities for students to put these theories into practice.

Leadership Labs:

Labs are centered on teaching basic leadership skills and offer introductory concepts on leadership.  Labs present skills that enhance an individual as they improve their leadership efficacy.  Labs occur monthly and are open to all students.

The LEAD Program:

A student who is part of the L.E.A.D Program will be an engaged individual enacting positive change by learning leadership concepts, educating their peers, acting to implement change, and continually developing themselves. The L.E.A.D. Program will be based on the Student Leadership Challenge by Kouzes & Posner. The Student Leadership Challenge allows students to identify behaviors that they can improve to be more effective at leading. This is a 10 week program that is more intensive and requires deeper thought about leadership efficacy. The LEAD Program focuses on  learning connected to development of a project that the student wants to implement on campus.

Presidential Fellows:

The Presidential Fellows will gain insight into themselves and the mission of Delaware Valley College. Fellows will learn from key College stakeholders the necessary skills to be effective leaders. Fellows will connect on a personal level with administrators, alumni, and community partners during the course of the program.
