About the All-Text Society
Since 2010, DelVal’s All-Text Society (ATS) has functioned as a student-based club dedicated to discussions and activities surrounding all forms of texts: literature, film, drama, etc. In this time, the ATS has served as an all-inclusive mothership for a host of on-campus activities and off-campus excursions, including book discussions, film screenings, poetry readings, annual Lolla-POE-Looza events (featuring an actual Edgar Allan Poe impersonator), and regular trips to New York and Philadelphia to see major theatrical productions. A revived and reimagined version of the long-defunct English Club, the greater aim of the ATS involves leading our English Majors and English Ed. students to become more engaged with those activities that can contribute to their leadership skills and professional development, and to attract non-majors into a fun and friendly on-campus community of like-minded individuals.
