HEAD SOFTBALL COACH – (053013/52065/23) – This is a part-time position in the Athletics Department.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to organizing, supervising, and controlling all the activities related to the sport; demonstrating leadership, sportsmanship, and conduct becoming of the coaching profession; annually reviewing any rule changes relative to softball; always adhering to all rules, regulations, and policies of the NCAA and MAC; supervising and evaluating annually all team assistant coaches; recommending to the Athletic Director the hiring and retention of all full-time and part-time assistant coaches; establishing an annual recruiting goal and attempting to enroll a diverse group of qualified student athletes capable of participation at the Division III varsity level;  organizing and conducting an appropriate number of practice sessions and directing all activities during contests; advising and mentoring team members and directing the activities of captains, team managers, and Student Advisory Committee representatives; preparing a schedule of team activities in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director that complies with departmental policies, goals, and objectives; coordinating team travel, housing, and meals with the Athletic Sports Program Assistant and submitting a travel itinerary at least two weeks prior to each overnight event after approval by Athletic Director; coordinating team travel, meals, and travel money with Athletic Sports Program Assistant and submitting a travel itinerary prior to the start of the softball season; administering the sport budget in a fiscally responsible manner; submitting all purchase requests to the Director of Athletics for prior approval; communicating and cooperating with the training staff regarding athletic medical clearances, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and status of injured athletes; communicating and cooperating with the equipment room staff regarding the distribution, collection, and ordering of athletic equipment and supplies; managing the development and coordination of community service projects for team members; providing an environment that supports the achievement of the academic goals of the student athlete; cultivating alumni groups associated with the softball program in conjunction with the office of Alumni Programs; scheduling the use of game and practice facilities in cooperation with the Assistant Athletic Director and/or Athletic Director.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree and successful background in coaching softball.  Additional requirements include: working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; strong managerial; administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills; computer proficiency; CPR-First Aid certification.  Prior playing or coaching at the college level is preferred.

VICE PRESIDENT FOR ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT (VPEM) -- (052913/61006/22) -- Delaware Valley College seeks inquiries, applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management. Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) oversees the Office of Admission and the Office of Financial Aid.

Delaware Valley College (DelVal) is a small, independent, multi-disciplinary college located outside Philadelphia on 571 acres in Doylestown, Pa. The College was founded in 1896, and features individualized attention to students and small class sizes. The College’s academic programs are grounded in a commitment to applied and experiential learning, balancing theory with real-world experiences. DelVal’s enrollment includes approximately 1700 undergraduate students and an additional 400+ students in graduate programs, weekend and evening classes. Since 2006, DelVal has been recognized by U. S. News & World Report as one of the 25 Best Northern Comprehensive Colleges.

DelVal initiated a formal strategic planning process in 2008, under the leadership of its new President, Dr. Joseph S. Brosnan. The strategic plan was approved unanimously by the Board of Trustees in 2010. The plan outlines a new vision for DelVal, calling for the College to become an exemplary small, teaching university known for its programs in agricultural and environmental sciences, the life and physical sciences, business, humanities and graduate studies. About the Position
The Vice President for Enrollment Management has responsibility for 23 full time staff including three direct reports. The VPEM is a member of the President’s cabinet and has a significant role in the continued implementation and monitoring of the progress of the strategic plan. The VPEM is a member of the Board of Trustees Committee on Admission, Marketing and Student Life. The expectations for the new Vice President reflect the rapidly-changing nature of the college and the journey toward realizing its vision. This is an important and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become part of a team with a passion for education and a commitment to the small college experience.  The candidate must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the changing marketplace in higher education, particularly for small independent colleges and universities.

A minimum of seven years of increasing leadership responsibilities in Enrollment Management is a must. An advanced degree is preferred. The incumbent must have prior success working collaboratively in an environment where cross-functional teams carry out the goals of the institution. Success in developing and carrying out assessment of strategic goals is a must, as is evidence of a strong background in marketing and data-informed decision making. Prior experience overseeing the work of the units within the DelVal VPEM portfolio is also a requirement. Candidates must possess a record of implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives, a key college strategic goal.  The successful candidate will come to Delaware Valley College with experience in managing change, and in giving leadership and focus to staff who are experiencing changes that are transforming their work.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CONTINUING EDUCATION – (052413/18000/21) – Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing schedules and managing credit course offerings for evening, cohort, summer, and online continuing education programs; advising all continuing education students on course selection; coordinating production of three yearly tabloids and summer postcards for credit and noncredit offerings; providing orientation to new Continuing Education instructors; developing curriculum for business, industry, and workforce development initiatives; assisting in the development of marketing, recruitment, and retention initiatives; working cooperatively with department chairs and faculty; managing student databases and coordinating direct mail initiatives; supervising day-to-day operations of the department.

WEB COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR – (051013/65000/20) – Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing, maintaining, and managing the College’s website; training and supporting internal users of the CMS; researching, designing, developing, and deploying applications and templates for the CMS; administering and maintaining the CMS.

Position requires Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years related experience.  Additional requirements include: ability to hand-code standards-compliant (X)HTML, HTML5, CSS (including CSS3); PHP and MySQL application development and CMS platforms like WordPress and ExpressionEngine; proficiency in XML, PHP5 (OOP, MVC pattern), MySQL, Javascript/AJAX, jQuery; familiarity and experience with ExpressionEngine and/or development and implementation of other CMS systems; familiarity and experience with Responsive Web Design; ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to include possible client interaction; self-motivated problem solver with ability to work independently or with others; experience/knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator for purposes of preparing and optimizing images for the web; experience/proficiency with the command line, SSH; experience with a version controlled workflow, specifically using Git and Beanstalk for deployments to staging and production server environments.

CUSTODIAN – (051013/64002/19) – This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, second shift, Monday through Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm and requires working every other weekend.  Responsibilities include but not limited to performing all custodial duties and driving trash truck.

Position requires prior custodial experience of 1-3 years, including floor care experience.  Driver’s license, employment physical, background check, and motor vehicle check required.  Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.  Generous benefits and tuition waiver plans offered.

ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH – (042413/52053/18) – This is a full-time, nine-month, limited service position in the athletics department beginning August 1, 2013, which is renewable for an additional year based upon performance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to coaching position; recruiting; video breakdown.

Position requires Bachelor’s degree and working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as well as experience with Hudl.  Additional requirements include: strong managerial; administrative; interpersonal skills; computer proficiency.  Prior playing or coaching at the college level is preferred.

SECURITY OFFICER – (041713/64050/17) - Needed for campus security to work full-time 12 am to 8 am, Friday through Monday, 35 hours per week.  Prior security and/or military experience preferred. Valid driver’s license, HS diploma/GED; MVR, Child Abuse Clearance (Welfare, State Police, and FBI), and background check plus physical and lifting test required.

SEASONAL MOWER – (041713/64001/16) – Needed to mow campus lawns approximately 20 hours, 26-30 weeks per year.  H.S. degree or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and ability to operate equipment with clutch required.  Experience preferred.
