Summer camp offerings from summer 2013 included:
Music and Voice Camp (Ages: 10-14 years old)
Does your child dream of what it’s like to be behind the microphone, performing like her favorite singer? Well here's her chance! Designed by a GRAMMY-award-winning music producer and Parent's Choice Gold winner, this camp offers campers the chance to work with recording studio equipment and introduces them to the amazing world of the music industry. Campers can work interchangeably as talent and/or crew, behind the scenes or behind the microphone. They'll learn vocal warm-up routines, perform voice-overs and TV/radio announcements, and have a blast singing karaoke to their favorite songs. The best part is they will have the unique opportunity to create their very own song from start to finish and record it live! Campers receive one professionally edited audio CD that contains all of their camp recordings from the week.
Wickline Casting’s Film and TV Camp (Ages: 8-15)
This is Wickline Casting’s original camp that started 15 years ago. Each day is designed so children work as cast and crew teams. Campers learn basic levels of acting, directing and operating the camera. Script writing, storyboarding and improvisation will also be introduced. Kids work on lots of cool projects like commercials, film scenes, music videos and public service announcements. Each day is different as campers create their very own original projects while learning the basics of the biz. (Upon completion of this camp, all original footage will be sent to a professional editor for creation of a DVD. Orders will be taken for purchase.)
Shoot for the Stars: Photography Camp (Ages 13-15)
We’re rolling the red carpet out in Doylestown and you are the star! You will spend the week learning tips and techniques of basic photography at Allure West Studios, a prominent photography studio in Doylestown, while working behind-the-scenes to produce a premier runway show at the County Theater on the last day of the session. Each day will comprise a technical session and a logistics session during which students will have the opportunity to plan, design and implement a Premier Runway Show. Students will walk away from the camp with a working knowledge of their digital SLRs as well as a portfolio of images they created at the Premier.
