An integral part of this course is the development of a solid work ethic and teamwork skills. Students will be formally evaluated in these areas twice per semester. Each student will be assigned a horse for whose care they are responsible outside of regularly scheduled stable crew hours. Inspections will chart the students’ conscientiousness and progress in all facets of horse care. Essential horse management skills will be practiced and tested.
