Delaware Valley College's Animal Science programs are about more than just livestock, dairy and equine studies. Our Department of Animal Biotechnology and Conservation enables students to pursue majors in Small Animal Science, Conservation & Wildlife Management, Therapy and Pre-Veterinary programs.
Delaware Valley College also holds the distinction of having one of two four-year Zoo Science programs in the nation.
The programs in the ABC Department emphasize the management and humane care of small animals as they are used in medicine, research, clinics, zoological displays, the pet trade and conservation agencies. Emphasis is placed on alternatives to whole animal research, including the use of cell-culture techniques and the production of transgenic animals.
By keeping our students involved and educated in cutting-edge technologies, our ABC graduates remain in high demand with both graduate schools and employers.
