Come and join us for the third biannual Multicultural Forum on December 2, 2009.



Have we learned any lessons after the Michael Vick scandal or are animal blood sports simply an intrinsic part of human societies? Come and join the Liberal Arts Department and the Students for Diversity to discuss legal and cultural perspectives on animal rights at our third biannual Multicultural Forum on December 2, 2009 at 4:30 in the Smart Classroom 114 in Mandell. The forum will be open to the public. We have invited Sarah Speed, Pennsylvania State Director of Field Services for the Humane Society of the United States, to speak at the forum:

Free speech and blood sports - the state of the law on animal fighting

Shih-chieh Su and Tanya Casas of the Liberal Arts Program and the Students for Diversity have organized the forum in order to enhance DVC students' awareness of social and cultural diversity, and to encourage our students to participate in the discussion of current world events.

Date and Time: 4:30 PM, December 2, 2009.
Place: Mandell 114 Smart Classroom

Participants:
Students for Diversity Club
DVC students enrolled in history and sociology courses will be encouraged to attend.
All Faculty and Staff members of DVC and community members are invited.
