The Strawberry Festival is an event the entire family can enjoy. If you’re going to this year’s Strawberry Festival, be sure to visit The Lucky Cupcake Company’s Village Bakery for strawberry shortcakes, strawberry rhubarb pies, strawberry crumb pies, strawberry cheesecakes and more. Their treats are so sweet, in fact, that they’ve been featured on the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars.
You can also stop by Skip’s Candy Corner for freshly dipped chocolate strawberries, the Ruby Boyd Tent for strawberry smoothies or Fromage Deux for seasonal Strawberry Festival crepes. There’s something to satisfy any palate at the Strawberry Festival, so bring your appetite and enjoy the decadent delights.
Special Attractions and Events
Along with its vendors, the festival includes a Strawberry Fields Fun Area for Kids with live music, moon bounces, bubble making areas, face painting, kids’ crafts, sand art and a picnic area. The festival is a great opportunity for bonding with younger siblings, especially with so many unique arts and crafts to try.
The Strawberry Festival will also hold a Strawberry Pie Eating Contest on the Main Green every afternoon at 3 p.m. Whether you cheer on the sidelines or compete yourself, the Strawberry Pie Eating Contest is a popular event that you won’t want to miss.
