If you're getting tired of listening to streamed music from your phone's speaker, you should check out one of the great places in Bucks County with live music and a fun atmosphere. There are plenty of spots located near Delaware Valley University where you and your friends can have a blast.

John & Peter's
Located at 96 South Main Street in New Hope, John & Peter's is the oldest, continually owned music club in the country. It features live performances seven days a week, every day of the year, and even twice on Saturdays and Sundays!
This music club features some of the most talented musicians in the area who play original music. It's a local favorite and a great place for a night out.
John & Peter's has an outdoor patio, which is perfect now that the weather is warming up. The patio season runs from April to November, depending on the weather. Meet other locals, grab a bite or watch the game.
They serve salads, burgers, soup, chili, sandwiches and other delicious bar foods. The drink menu includes draft beers, domestics, microbrews and imports. They also offer non-alcoholic beverages.
They don’t permit anyone under the age of 18 inside, and no one under the age of 21 is permitted after 9 p.m.
Dog & Bull
Dog & Bull features live music most Wednesdays through Sundays, with the music varying from rock to jazz. There's a live band for everyone at this brew and music house. Join the different bands and enjoy refreshments while listening to great music.
Most Fridays, there’s a Happy Hour Jam from 4 to 7 p.m, and most Saturdays, there’s a brunch jam from 11 a.m to 2 p.m.
Their menu includes what can be described as upper-class bar food, such as grilled salmon salads, half-pound burgers, sandwiches and entrées. Their list of draft beers is nearly endless, and they have a wide range of bottles.

La Cena hosts live entertainment Wednesday through Saturday nights. Check out their website to find out their schedule of who’s performing. A baby grand piano is often the focal point of the entertainment.
Located at 2233 Galloway Road in Bensalem, La Cena is a fine dining restaurant that’s set in a casual but sophisticated atmosphere that features a one-of-a-kind bar that travels the length of the stage.
Weeknight happy hour specials run Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m, when cocktails, wine and bottled beer prices are reduced.
The lunch and dinner menus include appetizers, soup and salad, pasta, veal, chicken, lamb, fish and other Italian creations.
