Orchards in the Doylestown area are filled with an abundance of treats. While apple picking season may be over, you can visit an orchard to take home some delicious pies, ciders or other goods so your family can experience a taste of the Doylestown area. And since there are a variety of orchards near Delaware Valley University, you can plan an engaging and fun fall day at one.

Don’t let fall end without a trip to one of Doylestown’s finest orchards. Read on to learn where you can find them.

The Market at DelVal
You won’t even have to leave campus to visit the Market at DelVal. Located on the far side of South Campus, you’ll find fresh-grown produce, locally made wines, freshly prepared meals, delectable desserts, locally produced organic meats, gourmet cheeses, a full-service deli and Uncle Dave’s homemade ice cream. And don’t miss their fun fall and winter events planned, including Santa’s arrival by helicopter on November 28.

Tabora Farm and Orchard
In nearby Chalfont, Pennsylvania, Tabora Farm and Orchard is a family-owned and -operated orchard that grows fresh ingredients for their deli and bakery menus. And now that the holiday season is upon us, Tabora Farm and Orchard’s menus have all of your favorite dishes ready to go. You can bring home a variety of fruit jams, freshly prepared entrées or succulent desserts from the bakery, such as apple-raspberry pie. With a cornucopia of some of the Doylestown area’s finest dishes, DelVal food enthusiasts can bring home their family’s favorite dish this holiday season.

Manoff Market Gardens
Manoff Market Gardens is famous throughout the Doylestown area for their homemade jams, butters and applesauce. Thanks to the variety of fruit grown at the orchard, DelVal students will be able to find numerous flavors, such as peach, apple, strawberry and blackberry. And you can’t leave the orchard market without taking home a gift basket for the family. These baskets have themes such as jams, apple and cheese or a winter basket full of cider, cookies, homemade bread and crackers.

Solebury Orchards
Fresh, hand-picked crops on the grounds of Solebury Orchards leads to some of the best produce you can pick up for the holiday season. DelVal students can find an abundance of apples, cherries, blueberries, peaches and plums all grown right here in the Doylestown area. Apple season is ending, but with the warmer weather, you’ll have the opportunity to take advantage of the fresh ones and the delicious treats that come along with them. At Solebury Orchards, you’ll find the best-tasting apple cider donuts and hot apple cider in the Doylestown area.
