For the second year in a row, Giving Tuesday Bucks will headquarter its Bucks County-focused celebration of philanthropy and community service at Delaware Valley University. The event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Moumgis Auditorium, which is located in the Student Center, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

The celebration of the "Generosity Marketplace" will begin with opening remarks by Delaware Valley President Dr. Joseph Brosnan, with additional remarks from PA State Rep. Kate Watson, Doylestown Mayor Ron Strouse, and Bucks County Commissioner Charles Martin, among others.

Bucks County nonprofits will highlight their missions and community impact with displays at the event. The day will also feature student service projects, music and food. As part of the national Giving Tuesday, nonprofits will track online donations that come in to support programs and services that sustain and uplift those in need in Bucks County.
