Affordable Golf Courses in Bucks County, PA

Students at Delaware Valley University are not only surrounded by a supportive and engaging learning community but also by fun and exciting off-campus opportunities in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. With plenty to do in the area, it’s easy for our students to stay busy and find new places or activities they love.

For example, there are a number of affordable golf courses in Bucks County, which can sometimes be a great way to relax and get away from your everyday activities is to get outside and play 18 holes. Read on to learn about a few of the affordable golf courses in Bucks County where DelVal students can play.

Fairways Golf Club, Warrington, PA
The Fairways Golf Club has been one of Bucks County’s premier public courses since its creation in 1965. The 4,503-yard course is ranked as a par 65 but is challenging enough for more experienced golfers. Expertly maintained grounds and greens enhance your play, and with water on 11 holes, Fairways Golf Club is a scenic course with a pleasing view.

Five Ponds Golf Club, Warminster, PA
Five Ponds Golf Club in Warminster is a stunning golf course that was voted the Best of Bucks County by players in the area. Five Ponds Golf Club also earned a four-star rating in Golf Digest’s 2013 Best Places to Play issue. Its name comes from the five ponds that surround the course alongside the rustic architecture, large bentgrass greens and plenty of other water features.

With five sets of tee boxes, golfers of all different skill levels can enjoy a great day on the links. And with carts added to your price when you book a tee time, students at DelVal can save some money.

Bucks Club, Jamison, PA
Now entering its third season, the Bucks Club in Jamison is one of Bucks County’s up-and-coming golf clubs. The par-70 course features three different tee boxes with an estimated pace of play of four hours and 20 minutes. The Bucks Club also features a practice area with two sand bunkers, a putting green and a driving range so you can warm up before getting out on the course.

The Bucks Club is located at 2600 York Road, Jamison, PA 18929.

The DelVal collegiate experience goes beyond the classroom, as our students have the opportunity to explore the greater Bucks County community to find fun things to do when they’re not in class. Getting out on a reasonably priced golf course, such as the nearby ones listed above, is definitely an option for DelVal students who are looking for something to do on a weekend.

If you’re a golfer in the Bucks County area, you should register for the 20th Annual Delaware Valley University Golf Classic which will occur on October 5, 2015. The golf outing will be held at the beautiful Saucon Valley Country Club and the event will benefit DelVal’s student scholarships.
