What Makes up a Personal Visit to DelVal and When you Can Schedule
Posted on October 20, 2015 by Delaware Valley University.
One of the best ways to experience Delaware Valley University and make sure that it’s the best university for you is to schedule a personal visit to the campus. Through this exposure, you’ll get a firsthand look into life as a DelVal student and the atmosphere that our campus provides. But what can you expect during a personal visit to DelVal?
While you may think a walk around the campus is enough to determine whether you can see yourself in DelVal’s learning environment, a personal visit will give you much more exposure and help you fully see your potential here. Read on to learn more about what makes up a personal visit to DelVal and when you can schedule yours.
Guided Campus Tour
Rather than walking around the campus by yourself, with a personal visit, you have the benefit of a guided campus tour given by one of our student Rambassadors. These students are prepared to show you all of the stops on the main campus and answer any of your questions.
Along with a tour of the main campus, you’ll also be shown one of our residence halls to give you a sense of where our students work and live. A dining hall tour will show you where you’ll have your meals, and tours of the various academic buildings provide prospective students with a look into where their classes will be held.
Meeting with an Admission Counselor
After your tour of the campus and the various DelVal buildings, you’ll have the opportunity to sit down and have a conversation with a DelVal admission counselor. This meeting will help you answer any additional questions you have about the University and the admission process, and give you face-to-face interaction and the chance to talk more about your academic and career pursuits.
When Can I Schedule a Personal Visit?
To give you a good sense of how the campus operates, DelVal offers individual weekday tours for prospective students. These tours can be scheduled in the morning at 9:30, 10:30, or 11:30 a.m. or in the afternoon at 1:30 or 2:30 p.m.
Our individual visits are held in the Life Sciences Building off the Admission Entrance located on New Britain Road in Doylestown, PA.
As a prospective student, planning an individual campus visit to DelVal will help you better understand what it feels like to be a student here. This visit will be a valuable experience that will help you to determine what you like about a specific university and whether it meets your requirements.
