Alumni Association Recognition Award Qualifications
For Faculty, Administration And Staff

Intent of The Award
The Alumni Recognition Award for Faculty, Administration or Staff is designed to recognize an outstanding member of the college who has devoted his/her time, energy and resources to prepare students to be outstanding leaders in their chosen profession and to participated actively in their community.

The award seeks to honor and extend the traditional ideals of Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture by acknowledging a Faculty, Administrator or Staff Member whose teaching or mentoring activities have been consistent with our founding principles. The award shall be presented annually during Homecoming Weekend.

Determination and Eligibility of Recipients
The alumni awards committee is composed of members of the College's
Alumni Association Executive Committee, and members of the Alumni Association as ex officio members, as approved by the President of the Alumni Association. The committee shall determine the recipients annually, based on the criteria outlined below. Three of the seven sections below (sections 4, 5 and 6) will be allotted 0 to 5 points the candidate with the highest number of points shall be chosen as the recipient for the award.

  1. Candidates may be nominated by any alumnus/a in good standing.
  2. The alumnus/a must request and complete, from the Director of Alumni Relations, the nominee questionnaire and submit it by December 31 of each year.
  3. The award may be given annually to an active or living retired member of the Faculty, Administration or Staff of Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture.
  4. The individual has devoted his/her time, energy and resources to encourage and congratulate students on their accomplishments.
  5. To prepare students to be outstanding leaders in their chosen profession and their community.
  6. The individual has been a contributor to the annual giving campaign.
  7. Candidate or a designate MUST present to accept the award.

The first award will be presented in 2007.

* The awards committee will contact the Faculty, Administer or Staff Members to inform them that you have nominated them for this award. They will be asked of their availability to accept the award at Homecoming as a condition of final selection.
