Aggies Compete At Ursinus College Invitational
COLLEGEVILLE (PA) -- Freshman Caitlin Dorgan outshined the women's
field as her first-place finish highlighted Delaware Valley College's
participation at the Ursinus College Invitational.
Dorgan's performance helped the Aggie women placed third out of
six teams with 82 points. Franklin & Marshall College took the
team title with 46 points while Ursinus College followed with 56
points.
Dorgan ran the 5K race in 20 minutes, 25.38 seconds to best 62 other
competitors. Sophomore Brittany Schwartz also finished in the top
five as her time of 21 minutes, 21.30 seconds placed fifth. Talesha
Karish added a strong showing by taking 16th with a time of 22 minutes,
45.19 seconds.
On the men's side, Delaware Valley finished fifth out of 8 teams
with 124 points. Franklin & Marshall took top honors with 59
points.
Sophomore Chip Brumbaugh paced the squad as his 8K time of 29 minutes,
40.39 seconds placed 10th out of 65 runners. Junior Dan Fenstermacher
finished 23rd with a time of 31 minutes, 8.47 seconds.
