Aggies Compete At Hood College Invitational
FREDERICK (MD) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's
cross country teams competed at the Hood College Invitational on
Saturday. The Aggie men finished third out of 10 squads while the
women placed sixth out of seven.
On the men's side, Delaware Valley's 108 points trailed only McDaniel
College and Hagerstown Community College who tied for the team title
with 49 points apiece.
Chip Brumbaugh paced the Aggies as the sophomore placed ninth out
of 80 competitors with an 8K time of 28 minutes, 21 seconds. Kevin
McCoy (29:20) and James Hammond (30:08) placed 23rd and 30th respectilve
while Kevin Weber took 35th with a time of 30 minutes, 28 seconds.
Dan Fenstermacher rounded out the team scoring as he placed 39th
with a time of 30 minutes, 37 seconds.
The Aggie women registered 105 points while McDaniel took top honors
with 50 points. Sophomore Brittany Schwartz placed fourth out of
73 runners with a 6K time of 24 minutes, 39 seconds. Sara Brown
finished 16th with a time of 26 minutes and 21 seconds while Melissa
Plourde (37th - 29:43), Amanda Barr (50th - 31:12) and Katie Lemoncelli
(56th - 32:18) rounded out the Delaware Valley scorers.
