Aggies Host DVC Invitational
DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Brittany Schwartz and Caitlin Dorgan each placed
in the top five on their home course to lead the Delaware Valley
women's cross country team to a fourth-place finish out of 15 teams
at the DVC Invitational. The Aggie men finished 12th out of 19 squads.
The Aggie women notched 110 points to trail only Ursinus College
(73), Division II West Chester (96) and Swarthmore College (107).
Schwartz, a sophomore, took third out of 154 competitors as she
notched a 6K time of 24 minutes, 58.98 seconds. Dorgan, a freshman
in her first collegiate meet, placed fifth with a time of 25 minutes,
13.98 seconds.
Sara Brown (26:58.61) and Talesha Karish (27:07.78) placed 23rd
and 26th respectively while Megan Hunsicker (29:19.06) crossed the
finish line in 68th place to round our the scoring for Delaware
Valley.
On the men's side, West Chester took top honors with 98 points.
The Aggie men were paced by Chip Brumbaugh as the sophomore placed
17th out of 152 runners with an 8K time of 29 minutes, 19.92 seconds.
Kevin McCoy (31:20.21) and Kevin Weber (31:39.21) placed 61st and
69th respectively while Dan Fenstermacher (32:30.68) and James Hammond
(32:34.80) were 83rd and 84th respectively.
