2007 SEASON PREVIEW


Delaware Valley College head coach Ed Andrewlevich has seven letterwinners back from last year’s team that placed 11th out of 14 at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships.

All five conference competitors are back on the women’s side, including sophomore Brittany Schwartz (Strasburg, PA/Lancaster Christian). Schwartz earned all-MAC second-team accolades a year ago as she placed 13th out of 132 competitots with a time of 26 minutes, 33.38 seconds.

Junior Sara Brown (troy, PA/Troy) returns after improving her conference placement from 65th as a freshman to 45th last year with a time of 28 minutes, 13.78 seconds.

Sophomores Talesha Karish (Bethel, PA/Tulpehocken), Amanda Barr (Strasburg, PA/Lampeter-Strasburg) are also back along with junior Katie Lemoncelli (Peckville, PA/Valley View). Karish and Barr finished 80th and 114th respectively at the MAC Championships while Lemoncelli took 84th.

Sophomores Meghan Hunsicker (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) and Melissa Plourde (Folcroft, PA/Academy Park) round out the returnees after both had productive rookie campaigns.
