Delaware Valley Competes At The Metro
Meet
PHILADELPHIA (PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's
cross country teams competed at the Philadelphia Metro Meet at Fairmont
Park. The women placed seventh out of 16 teams while the men did
not have enough runners to qualify for the team standings.
The Aggie women were paced by freshman Brittany Schwartz who had
her top finish of the year, a third-place showing (145 competitors)
with a time of 20 minutes, 40.81 seconds. Sara Brown (22:06.88)
and Rachel Federico (22:15.56) finished 26th and 28th respectively
while Talesha Karish (41st - 22:54.50) and Amanda Barr (81st - 24:42.59)
rounded out the scorers.
On the men's side, freshmen James Hammond (29:24.40) and Charles
Brumbaugh (30:16.19) took 18th and 28th respectively out of 138
runners. Fellow rookie Kevin McCoy was 31st with a time of 30 minutes,
31.41 seconds while Kevin Weber finished 35th with a time of 30
minutes, 34.59 seconds.
