Aggies Compete At Albright College Invitational
READING
(PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's cross country
teams each finished in second place at the Albright College Invitational.
On the men's side, the Aggies had 54 points to only trail Penn State-Berks
in the team standings (six teams). Freshman Chip Brumbaugh had his
best finish of the season as he took third out of 62 runners with
a time of 29 minutes, 14.9 seconds. Sophomore Kevin Weber took fifth
with a time of 29 minutes, 25 seconds while freshman James Hammond
also finished in the top 10 as his time of 29 minutes, 57.6 seconds
was good enough for eighth place.
The Delaware Valley women had 38 points to place one point behind
Albright College in the four-team race. Freshman Brittany Schwartz
was the invitational runner-up (36 runners) with a time of 25 minutes,
9.9 seconds. Sophomore Sara Brown was fifth with a time of 25 minutes,
55.44 seconds while fellow classmate Rachel Federico placed seventh
with a time of 26 minutes, 2.8 seconds. Freshman Talesha Karish
was eighth with a time of 26 minutes, 32.9 seconds.
