Aggies Compete At Cougar Classic

DALLAS (PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Misericordia University Cougar Classic on Saturday. The Aggie women placed third out of nine teams while the men placed eighth out of eight squads.

The women racked up 99 points to trail only Moravian College (68) and The University of Scranton (97). Two reasons why were Caitlin Dorgan and Brittany Schwartz as they each finished in the top 10. Dorgan was third out of 83 runners with a time of 20 minutes, 5 seconds. Schwartz placed seventh with a time of 20 minutes, 30 seconds.

Sara Brown (22:04.00) and Talesha Karish (22:24.00) placed 21st and 25th respectively for the Aggies.

On the men's side, Delaware Valley had 180 points while SUNY Delhi won the team title with 56. Chip Brumbaugh was the top Aggie finisher as the sophomore placed 11th out of 69 runners with a time of 29 minutes, 3 seconds. Kevin McCoy was next in 28th place with a time of 30 minutes, 8 seconds.
