Delaware Valley Competes At Lebanon Valley Invitational

ANNVILLE (PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Saturday. The Aggie women finished in fifth place out of 14 teams while the men did not enough runners to qualify for the team standings.

Delaware Valley registered 172 points on the women's side with only Messiah College (20), University of Mary Washington (68), Juniata College (68) and Dickinson College (125) finishing ahead of the Aggies.

Individually, freshman Brittany Schwartz placed 11th out of 151 competitors with a time of 21 minutes, 18.12 seconds. Fellow rookie Meghan Hunsiker was 18th (21:33.01) while yet another rookie, Talesha Karish, crossed the finish line in 41st place (22:34.69). Sophomores Sara Brown (46th - 22:43.64) and Jennifer DelPolito (84th - 24:02.90) rounded out the scorers for Delaware Valley.

Freshman Chip Brumbaugh paced the Aggie men by taking 29th out of 137 runners with a time of 29 minutes, 8.07 seconds. Freshman James Hammond was 53rd (30:16.84) in the race while freshman Kevin McCoy (30:35.29) finished in 64th place.
